Congestion Surcharge (CFD) for all cargo being discharged at Port Qasim (Pakistan) terminal. Effective – 28th January, 2016

There has been an immense upsurge in imports during last few weeks into Port Qasim. As a consequence, Port Qasim terminal is facing congestion on both Import and Exports ends, and delays in clearance from consignees. It is impacting all associated activities and causing considerable delays (it has been observed that arrival of cargo is faster than clearance of cargo in the terminal, resulting in a constant increase of containers in the terminal). As a result, all activities in the terminal, such as examination, grounding, delivery and also loading/discharge movements, are slowing down.

Steps are continually being taken by the terminal in order to bring the situation back to normality
