Booking Cancellation Fee
Shipping lines need to introduce measures to minimise reductions in bookings close to vessel ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival). Late cancellations, reductions and transfers continue to be a major challenge in meeting the needs of customers. In support of this initiative, effective 1st October 2012, a Booking Cancellation Fee will apply to dry cargo bookings cancelled, reduced or transferred within 7 days of ETA of the vessel.
The booking cancellation fee for dry containers will be applied unless the shipper, and/or named booking party, provides written notification of the cancellation at least 7 days prior to the vessels ETA at any particular load port in Australia. The fee will not be applicable to refrigerated cargo.
